Tech Event is a Gold Coast-based company founded by Dan. He’s backed by an experienced crew of technicians, drivers and deployment specialists. Through MS Timing, we deliver timing for Supercars and race meetings across Australia, so we know what it takes to keep a live event running.

About Dan

Dan has spent 35 years with Supercars, the last 20 as circuit services manager, and has been in charge of all of its timing systems for the last two years. He’s a telecommunications engineer with a background in electronics and programming.

His team are the electrical and data plumbers of an event, and its unsung heroes. They handle the telecommunications, networking, timing and telemetry, and connect everyone to everyone else. Dan works the jobs with his crew, and you’ll usually see him driving the trucks. When he’s home, he’s usually out on the farm with his huskies.

How we work

• We turn up early. Units usually arrive about a week before your event, so everything is set up and tested before your crew needs it.
• We bring everything. Power, internet, climate control and loading gear come with the truck, so your event doesn’t depend on what the site has.
• We look after people. Remote-controlled tailgate loaders and hydraulic set-up mean less manual handling, and built-in wheelchair access means everyone can work in Titan.
• We’re covered. We hold $20 million public liability insurance, and Encore’s stage is engineer-certified.
