This policy explains how Tech Event Pty Ltd (ABN 82 660 695 787) (“Tech Event”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information. We aim to follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

When you send us a quote request or contact us, we collect the details you give us, such as your name, organisation, email address, phone number and information about your event.

If analytics are switched on for this website, we may also collect general information about how the site is used, such as pages visited and the type of device and browser. This information doesn’t identify you personally.

How we use it

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, prepare quotes, deliver and manage hire bookings, and keep records we’re required to keep by law. We don’t sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We may share your information with service providers who help us run our business, such as our form-handling service, email provider and accountants, and only so they can provide those services to us. Some of these providers may store information outside Australia. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Keeping it secure

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and we delete or de-identify it when we no longer need it.
